தானியேல் 1:16
ஆகையால் மேல்ஷார் அவர்கள் புசிக்கக் கட்டளையான போஜனத்தையும், அவர்கள் குடிக்கக் கட்டளையான திராட்சரசத்தையும் நீக்கிவைத்து, அவர்களுக்குப் பருப்பு முதலானவைகளைக் கொடுத்தான்.

எனவே, காவலன் அரசனது உணவையும் திராட்சைரசத்தையும் தொடர்ந்து கொடுப்பதை நிறுத்தினான். அதற்குப் பதிலாக அவன் தானியேல், அனனியா, மீஷாவேல், அசரியா ஆகியோருக்குக் காய்கறிகளைக் கொடுத்தான்.

Thus Melzar הַמֶּלְצַ֗ר melṣār mel-TSAHR
took away נֹשֵׂא֙ nāśāʾ na-SA
אֶת ʾēt ate
the portion of their meat, פַּתְבָּגָ֔ם patbag paht-BAHɡ
and the wine וְיֵ֖ין yayin ya-YEEN
that they should drink; מִשְׁתֵּיהֶ֑ם mište meesh-TEH
and gave וְנֹתֵ֥ן nātan na-TAHN
לָהֶ֖ם
them pulse. זֵרְעֹנִֽים׃ zērōaʿ zay-ROH-ah
