the slain, הַ֣חֲלָלִ֔ים ḥālāl ha-LAHL
and spoiled וַיָּבֹ֖זּוּ bāzaz ba-ZAHZ
the city, הָעִ֑יר ʿîr eer
because אֲשֶׁ֥ר ʾăšer uh-SHER
they had defiled טִמְּא֖וּ ṭāmēʾ ta-MAY
