மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ உன் ஜனத்தின் புத்திரரோடே பேசி, அவர்களோடே சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது: நான் தேசத்தின்மேல் பட்டயத்தை வரப்பண்ணுகையில் தேசத்தின் ஜனம் தங்கள் எல்லைகளிலுள்ள ஒருவனை அழைத்து, அவனைத் தங்களுக்குக் காவற்காரனாக வைத்தபின்பு,

speak דַּבֵּ֤ר dābar da-VAHR
to אֶל ʾēl ale
the children בְּנֵֽי bēn bane
of thy people, עַמְּךָ֙ ʿam am
and say וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ ʾāmar ah-MAHR
unto אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם ʾēl ale
a land, אֶ֕רֶץ ʾereṣ eh-RETS
them, When כִּֽי kî kee
I bring אָבִ֥יא bôʾ boh
upon עָלֶ֖יהָ ʿal al
the sword חָ֑רֶב ḥereb heh-REV
take וְלָקְח֨וּ lāqaḥ la-KAHK
if the people עַם ʿam am
of the land הָאָ֜רֶץ ʾereṣ eh-RETS
man אִ֤ישׁ ʾîš eesh
a אֶחָד֙ ʾeḥād eh-HAHD
of their coasts, מִקְצֵיהֶ֔ם qāṣe ka-TSEH
and set וְנָתְנ֥וּ nātan na-TAHN
אֹת֛וֹ ʾēt ate
לָהֶ֖ם
him for their watchman: לְצֹפֶֽה׃ ṣāpâ tsa-FA
