நான் இதைச் செய்யாதபடிக்கு, என் தேவன் என்னைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளக்கடவர்; தங்கள் பிராணனை எண்ணாமல் போய் அதைக் கொண்டுவந்த இந்த மனுஷரின் ரத்தத்தைக் குடிப்பேனோ என்று சொல்லி அதைக் குடிக்கமாட்டேன் என்றான். இப்படி இந்த மூன்று பராக்கிரமசாலிகளும் செய்தார்கள்.

பிறகு தாவீது, “தேவனே! என்னால் இத்தண்ணீரைக் குடிக்கமுடியாது. தங்கள் உயிரைப் பணயம் வைத்து இவர்கள் இத்தண்ணீரைக் கொண்டுவந்தனர். இதனைக் குடிப்பது இவர்களின் இரத்தத்தைக் குடிப்பது போன்றதாகும்” என்றான். இதற்காகத்தான் தாவீது அந்த தண்ணீரைக் குடிக்க மறுத்தான். இதுபோல பல்வேறு சாகசங்களை மூன்று வீரர்களும் செய்தனர்.
