பூரிகைகளையும் கைத்தாளங்களையும் தேவனைப் பாடுகிறதற்குரிய கீதவாத்தியங்களையும் தொனிக்கச்செய்யவும் அவர்களுடன் ஏமானையும் எதித்தூனையும் வைத்து, எதித்தூனின் குமாரரை வாசல்காக்கிறவர்களாகக் கட்டளையிட்டான்.

ஏமானும், எதித்தூனும் அவர்களோடு இருந்தனர். அவர்களின் வேலை எக்காளத்தை ஊதுவதும், கைத்தாளம் இடுவதும் ஆகும். தேவனுக்காக பாடல்கள் பாடப்பட்டபோது அவர்கள் வேறு இசைக் கருவிகளையும் இசைத்து வந்தனர். எதித்தூனின் மகன்கள் வாசலைக் காத்தனர்.

இவர்களோடு ஏமான், எதுத்தூன் ஆகியோரை எக்காளங்களையும், கைத்தாளங்களையும், இறைப்பாடலுக்குரிய இசைக் கருவிகளையும் இசைக்க ஏற்படுத்தினார்; எதுத்தூனின் புதல்வரை வாயில் காவலராக நியமித்தார்.⒫

இவர்கள் அனைவரும் ராஜாவுடைய கட்டளைப்பிரமாணமாய்க் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் தாளங்கள் தம்புருகள் சுரமண்டலங்களாகிய கீதவாத்தியம் வாசிக்க, தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் ஊழியமாக அவரவர் தங்கள் தங்கள் தகப்பன்மாராகிய ஆசாப் எதுத்தூன், ஏமான் என்பவர்கள் வசத்தில் இருந்தார்கள்.
2 Chronicles 7:6
