மறுநாள் காலமே, யோனத்தான் தாவீதுக்குக் குறித்தநேரத்திலே ஒரு சிறுபிள்ளையாண்டானைக் கூட்டிக் கொண்டு, வெளியே புறப்பட்டுப்போய்;

காரியம் நடந்தபோது, மூன்றாம் நாளிலே நீர் ஒளித்திருக்கும் இடத்திற்குத் தீவிரித்து வந்து, ஏசேல் என்னும் கல்லண்டையில் உட்கார்ந்திரும்.

அப்பொழுது அமாசா: யூதாவை அழைப்பிக்கப் போய், தனக்குக் குறித்தகாலத்திலே வராமல் தாமதித்திருந்தான்.
