தாவீது அவ்விடத்தை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, என்கேதியிலுள்ள அரணிப்பான இடங்களில் தங்கினான்.

சிலர் வந்து, யோசபாத்தை நோக்கி: உமக்கு விரோதமாய் ஏராளமான ஜனங்கள் கடலுக்கு அக்கரையிலிருக்கிற சீரியாவிலிருந்து வருகிறார்கள்; இதோ, அவர்கள் எங்கேதியாகிய ஆசாசோன்தாமாரில் இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று அறிவித்தார்கள்.

நிப்சான், உப்புப்பட்டணம், என்கேதி; இந்தப்பட்டணங்களும் அவைகளுடைய கிராமங்களுமுட்பட ஆறு.

என் நேசர் எனக்கு எங்கேதி ஊர் திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களில் முளைக்கும் மருதோன்றிப் பூங்கொத்து.

அப்பொழுது என்கேதிதுவக்கி எனெக்லாயிம்மட்டும் மீன்பிடிக்கிறவர்கள் அதின் கரையிலே நிற்பார்கள்; அதெல்லாம் வலைகளை விரிக்கிற ஸ்தலமாயிருக்கும்; அதின் மச்சங்கள் பெரிய சமுத்திரத்தின் மச்சங்களைப்போலப் பல ஜாதியும் மகா ஏராளமுமாயிருக்கும்.

திரும்பிக் காதேஸென்னும் என்மிஸ்பாத்துக்கு வந்து, அமலேக்கியருடைய நாடனைத்தையும், அத்சாத்சோன் தாமாரிலே குடியிருந்த எமோரியரையும்கூடச் சங்கரித்தார்கள்.

சவுல் பெலிஸ்தரைப் பின் தொடர்ந்து திரும்பிவந்தபோது, இதோ, தாவீது என்கேதியின் வனாந்தரத்தில் இருக்கிறான் என்று அவனுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
