ராஜா அவன் என் முகத்தைப்பார்க்கவேண்டியதில்லை; தன் வீட்டுக்குத் திரும்பிப்போகட்டும் என்றான், அப்படியே அப்சலோம் ராஜாவின் முகத்தைப் பார்க்காமல் தன் வீட்டுக்குத் திரும்பிப்போனான்.

ஆனால் தாவீது அரசன், “அப்சலோம் தனது வீட்டிற்குப் போகலாம். ஆனால் அவன் என்னைப் பார்க்க வரமுடியாது” என்றான். எனவே அப்சலோம் தனது வீட்டிற்குப் போனான். அப்சலோம் அரசனைப் பார்க்கபோக முடியவில்லை.

‘அவன் தன் வீட்டுக்கே திரும்பட்டும். என் முகத்தில் அவன் விழிக்கக்கூடாது” என்று அரசர் கூற, அப்சலோம் தன் வீட்டுக்குத் திரும்பினான். அரசரின் முகத்தில் அவன் விழிக்கவில்லை.
