அப்போது காலேபுடைய தம்பியாகிய கேனாசின் குமாரன் ஒத்னியேல் அதைப் பிடித்தான்; ஆகையால் தன் குமாரத்தியாகிய அக்சாளை அவனுக்கு விவாகம் பண்ணிக்கொடுத்தான்.

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டபோது, கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை இரட்சிக்கும்படி காலேபின் தம்பியான கேனாசுடைய குமாரனாகிய ஒத்னியேல் என்னும் ஒரு ரட்சகனை அவர்களுக்கு எழும்பப்பண்ணினார்.
