நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு உண்டாக்கும் பலிபீடத்தண்டையில் யாதொரு தோப்பையும் உண்டாக்க வேண்டாம்;

தங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் கற்பனைகளையெல்லாம் விட்டுவிட்டு, இரண்டு கன்றுக்குட்டிகளாகிய வார்ப்பித்த விக்கிரகங்களைத் தங்களுக்கு உண்டாக்கி, விக்கிரகத் தோப்புகளை நாட்டி, வானத்தின் சேனைகளையெல்லாம் பணிந்துகொண்டு, பாகாலைச் சேவித்தார்கள்.

அவன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய எசேக்கியா தகர்த்துப்போட்ட மேடைகளைத் திரும்பவும் கட்டி, பாகால்களுக்குப் பலிபீடங்களை எடுப்பித்து, விக்கிரகத்தோப்புகளை உண்டாக்கி, வானத்தின் சேனையையெல்லாம் பணிந்துகொண்டு, அவைகளைச் சேவித்து,

அவர்களுடைய பலிபீடங்களை இடித்து, அவர்கள் சிலைகளைத் தகர்த்து, அவர்கள் தோப்புகளை வெட்டிப்போடுங்கள்.

தண்ணீரிலே நாணல் அசைகிறது போல, கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலை முறித்தசையப்பண்ணி, அவர்கள் பிதாக்களுக்குத் தாம் கொடுத்த இந்த நல்ல தேசத்திலிருந்து இஸ்ரவேலை வேரோடே பிடுங்கி, அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கு தோப்பு விக்கிரகங்களை வைத்து, கர்த்தருக்குக் கோபம் உண்டாக்கினபடியினால், அவர்களை நதிக்கப்பாலே சிதறடித்து,

ஆகாப் ஒரு விக்கிரகத்தோப்பையும் வைத்து, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குக் கோபம் உண்டாக்கும்படிக்கு தனக்கு முன்னிருந்த இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாக்களெல்லாம் செய்ததைப்பார்க்கிலும் அதிகமாய்ச் செய்துவந்தான்.
