இந்தக் கற்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய நாமங்களின்படியே பன்னிரண்டும், அவர்களுடைய நாமங்கள் அவைகளில் வெட்டப்பட்டவைகளுமாய் இருக்கவேண்டும்; பன்னிரண்டு கோத்திரங்களில் ஒவ்வொன்றினுடைய நாமம் ஒவ்வொன்றிலே முத்திரைவெட்டாய் வெட்டியிருக்கவேண்டும்.

ஆதலால் நீங்கள் அல்ல, தேவனே என்னை இந்த இடத்திற்கு அனுப்பி, என்னைப் பார்வோனுக்குத் தகப்பனாகவும், அவருடைய குடும்பம் அனைத்திற்கும் கர்த்தனாகவும், முழு எகிப்துதேசத்திற்கும் அதிபதியாகவும் வைத்தார்.

என்னை இங்கே அனுப்பியது உங்களது தவறு அல்ல. இது தேவனின் திட்டம். பார்வோன் மன்னருக்கே தந்தை போன்று நான் இங்கே இருக்கிறேன். நான் அரண்மனைக்கும் இந்த நாட்டிற்கும் ஆளுநராக இருக்கிறேன்” என்றான்.
