அவர் என்னை வடக்கு வாசல் வழியாய்ப் புறப்படப்பண்ணி, என்னை வெளியிலே கீழ்த்திசைக்கு எதிரான புறவாசல்மட்டும் சுற்றி நடத்தக்கொண்டுபோனார்; அங்கே தண்ணீர் வலதுபுறத்திலிருந்து பாய்கிறதாயிருந்தது.

நீதிமான் பாவம் செய்யாதபடி நீ நீதிமானை எச்சரித்தபின்பு அவன் பாவம்செய்யாவிட்டால், அவன் பிழைக்கவே பிழைப்பான்; அவன் எச்சரிக்கப்பட்டான்; நீயும் உன்னுடைய ஆத்துமாவைக் காப்பாற்றினாய் என்றார்.

“ஆனால், நீ ஒரு நல்ல மனிதனை எச்சரித்து பாவத்தை நிறுத்தும்படிச் சொல்ல அவனும் பாவம் செய்வதை நிறுத்திவிட்டால் பின்னர் அவன் மரிக்கமாட்டான். ஏனென்றால், நீ அவனை எச்சரித்தாய், அவனும் உன்னைக் கவனித்தான். இவ்வழியில் நீ உனது சொந்த உயிரைக் காப்பாற்றினாய்” என்றார்.
