அப்பொழுது தாண் புத்திரர் அந்தச் சுரூபத்தைத் தங்களுக்கு ஸ்தாபித்துக்கொண்டார்கள்; மனாசேயின் குமாரனாகிய கெர்சோனின் மகன் யோனத்தானும், அவன் குமாரனும் அந்தத் தேசத்தார் சிறைப்பட்டுப் போன நாள்மட்டும், தாண் கோத்திரத்தாருக்கு ஆசாரியராயிருந்தார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது தாண் மக்கள் அந்தச் சுரூபத்தைத் தங்களுக்கு நியமித்துக்கொண்டார்கள்; மனாசேயின் மகனான கெர்சோனின் மகன் யோனத்தானும், அவன் மகன்களும் அந்தத் தேசம் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போன நாள்வரை, தாண் கோத்திரத்தார்கள் ஆசாரியர்களாக இருந்தார்கள்.

தாண் நகரில் தாண் கோத்திரத்தினர் அந்த விக்கிரங்களை வைத்தனர். கெர்சோனின் மகனாகிய யோனத்தானை அவர்கள் பூஜை செய்பவனாக நியமித்தனர். கெர்சோம் மோசேயின் மகன். இஸ்ரவேலர் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கைதிகளாக அழைத்துச் செல்லப்படும் வரையிலும் யோனத்தானும், அவனது மகன்களும் தாண் கோத்திரத்தினருக்கு பூஜை செய்பவர்களாக விளங்கினர்.
