அவளுடைய புருஷன் அதைக் கேட்கிற நாளில் அவன் வேண்டாம் என்று தடுத்து, அவள் செய்த பொருத்தனையும் அவள் தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொண்ட நிபந்தனையும் செல்லாதபடி செய்தானேயானால், அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் அதை அவளுக்கு மன்னிப்பார்.

அதற்கு இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாஸ், யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அமத்சியாவுக்கு ஆள் அனுப்பி: லீபனோனிலுள்ள முட்செடியானது லீபனோனிலுள்ள கேதுருமரத்தை நோக்கி: நீ உன் மகளை என் மகனுக்குத் திருமணம் செய்து கொடு என்று கேட்கச்சொன்னது; ஆனாலும் லீபனோனிலுள்ள ஒரு காட்டுமிருகம் அந்த வழியே போகும்போது ஓடி அந்த முட்செடியை மிதித்துப்போட்டது.

பிறகு யோவாஸ் தனது பதிலை அமத்சியாவிற்கு அனுப்பினான். யோவாஸ் இஸ்ரவேலின் அரசன். அமத்சியா யூதாவின் அரசன். யோவாஸ், “லீபனோனில் உள்ள முட் செடியானது லீபனோனில் உள்ள கேதுரு மரத்திற்குத் தூது அனுப்பி, ‘நீ உன் மகளை என் மகனுக்கு மணமுடித்து தருவாயா’ என்று கேட்டது. ஆனாலும் ஒரு காட்டு மிருகம் அந்த வழியாகப் போகும்போது அந்த முட்செடியை மிதித்துப் போட்டது.
