அவர்கள் தங்கள் இச்சையை வெறுக்கவில்லை; அவர்களுடைய போஜனம் அவர்கள் வாயில் இருக்கும்போதே,

அவன் மக்களைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, அவர்களை மூன்று படைகளாக பிரித்து, வெளியிலே ஒளிந்திருந்து, அந்த மக்கள் பட்டணத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுவருகிறதைப் பார்த்து, அவர்களைத் தாக்கிக் கொன்றான்.

எனவே அபிமெலேக்கு அவனது ஆட்களை மூன்று குழுக்களாகப் பிரித்தான். அவன் சீகேமின் ஜனங்களைத் திடீரென தாக்குவதற்கு விரும்பினான். எனவே தன்னுடைய ஆட்களை வயலில் மறைந்திருக்கும்படி செய்தான். நகரத்திலிருந்து ஜனங்கள் வெளியே வந்ததும் அவர்கள்மேல் பாய்ந்து அவர்களைத் தாக்கினார்கள்.
