கிரேக்கருக்கும், மற்ற அந்நியர்களுக்கும், ஞானிகளுக்கும், மூடருக்கும் நான் கடனாளியாயிருக்கிறேன்.

அதற்குக் கர்த்தர் நீ போ; அவன் புறஜாதிகளுக்கும் ராஜாக்களுக்கும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கும் என்னுடைய நாமத்தை அறிவிக்கிறதற்காக நான் தெரிந்துகொண்ட பாத்திரமாயிருக்கிறான்.

அதற்கு இயேசு: கலப்பையின்மேல் தன் கையை வைத்துப் பின்னிட்டுப்பார்க்கிற எவனும் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்துக்குத் தகுதியுள்ளவன் அல்ல என்றார்.

நாங்கள் கண்டவைகளையும் கேட்டவைகளையும் பேசாமலிருக்கக்கூடாதே என்றார்கள்.

அவன் நடுங்கித் திகைத்து: ஆண்டவரே, நான் என்னசெய்யச் சித்தமாயிருக்கிறீர் என்றான். அதற்குக் கர்த்தர்: நீ எழுந்து, பட்டணத்துக்குள்ளே போ, நீ செய்யவேண்டியது அங்கே உனக்குச் சொல்லப்படும் என்றார்.

ஆகையால் நீ உன் அரையைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு நின்று, நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிறவைகளையெல்லாம் அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்; நான் உன்னை அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகக் கலங்கப்பண்ணாதபடிக்கு, நீ அவர்கள் முகத்துக்கு அஞ்சாதிரு.

கர்த்தாவே, என்னை இணங்கப்பண்ணினீர், நான் இணங்கினேன்; நீர் என்னிலும் பலத்தவராயிருந்து, என்னை மேற்கொண்டீர்; நாள்தோறும் நகைப்புக்கு இடமானேன்; எல்லாரும் என்னைப் பரிகாசம்பண்ணுகிறார்கள்.

ஆதலால் நான் அவரைப் பிரஸ்தாபம்பண்ணாமலும் இனிக் கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்திலே பேசாமலும் இருப்பேன் என்றேன்; ஆனாலும் அவருடைய வார்த்தை என் எலும்புகளில் அடைபட்டு எரிகிற அக்கினியைப்போல் என் இருதயத்தில் இருந்தது; அதைச் சகித்து இளைத்துப்போனேன்; எனக்குப் பொறுக்கக் கூடாமற்போயிற்று.

சிங்கம் கெர்ச்சிக்கிறது, யார் பயப்படாதிருப்பான்? கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் பேசுகிறார், யார் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லாதிருப்பான்?

ஆனால் மந்தையின் பின்னாலே போகிறபோது என்னைக் கர்த்தர் அழைத்து, நீ போய் என் ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லு என்று கர்த்தர் உரைத்தார்.

இப்பொழுது நீ எழுந்து, காலுன்றி நில். நீ கண்டவைகளையும் நான் உனக்குத் தரிசனமாகிக் காண்பிக்கப்போகிறவைகளையும் குறித்து உன்னை ஊழியக்காரனாகவும் சாட்சியாகவும் ஏற்படுத்துகிறதற்காக உனக்குத் தரிசனமானேன்.

ஆதலால் நான் தேவனுக்குரியவைகளைக் குறித்து இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவைக்கொண்டு மேன்மைபாராட்ட எனக்கு இடமுண்டு.

அர்க்கிப்பைக் கண்டு: நீ கர்த்தரிடத்தில் பெற்ற ஊழியத்தை நிறைவேற்றும்படி கவனமாயிருப்பாயாகவென்று சொல்லுங்கள்.
