அவர்கள் என்னைவிட்டு, சீதோனியரின் தேவியாகிய அஸ்தரோத்தையும், மோவாபியரின் தேவனாகிய காமோசையும், அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் தேவனாகிய மில்கோமையும் பணிந்துகொண்டு, அவன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதைப்போல என் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையாய் இருக்கிறதைச் செய்யவும், என் கட்டளைகளையும் என் நியாயங்களையும் கȠΕ்கொள்ளவுமύ, அவர்கள் என் வழிகளில் நடவாமற்ʠχானபடிϠοனால் அப்படிச் செய்வேன்.

சாலொமோன் என்னைப் பின்பற்றுவதை விட்டுவிட்டதால் அவனிடமிருந்து ராஜ்ஜியத்தை எடுக்கப்போகிறேன். அவன் சீதோனின் பொய் தெய்வமான அஸ்தரோத்தையும், மோவாபியரின் பொய்த் தெய்வமான காமோசையும், அம்மோன் ஜனங்களின் பொய்த் தெய்வமான மில்கோமையும் தொழுதுகொண்டு வருகிறான். அவன் தன் தந்தை தாவீதைப்போன்று வாழவில்லை. அவன் எனது சட்டங்களுக்கும் கட்டளைகளுக்கும் கீழ்படியவில்லை. அவன் நல்ல வழிகளில் இருந்து விலகிவிட்டான்.
