அந்நிய தெய்வங்களுக்குத் தூபங்காட்டும்படிக்கு, யூதாவின் ஒவ்வொரு பட்டணத்திலும் மேடைகளை உண்டுபண்ணி, தன் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு கோபமூட்டினான்.

பின்பு, ஒவ்வொரு நகரிலும், யூதாவின் நகர்களில்கூட, வேற்றுத் தெய்வங்களுக்குத் தூபமிடத் தொழுகை மேடுகளை எழுப்பினான். இது அவன் மூதாதையரின் கடவுளாம் ஆண்டவருக்குச் சினமூட்டியது.⒫
