தேசத்திலே குடியிருக்கிற எபூசியர்மேல் யுத்தம்பண்ண ராஜாவானவன் தன் மனுஷரோடேகூட எருசலேமுக்குப் போனான் அவர்கள்: இதிலே பிரவேசிக்க தாவீதினால் கூடாது என்று எண்ணி, தாவீதை நோக்கி: நீ இதற்குள் பிரவேசிப்பதில்லை; குருடரும் சப்பாணிகளும் உன்னைத் தடுப்பார்கள் என்று சொன்னார்கள்.

தேசத்திலே குடியிருக்கிற எபூசியர்கள்மேல் யுத்தம்செய்ய ராஜா தன்னுடைய மனிதர்களோடு எருசலேமுக்குப் போனான். அவர்கள்: இதிலே தாவீதால் நுழையமுடியாது என்று நினைத்து, தாவீதை நோக்கி: நீ இதற்குள் நுழையமுடியாது; குருடர்களும் சப்பாணிகளும் உன்னைத் தடுப்பார்கள் என்று சொன்னார்கள்.

அரசனும் அவனது வீரர்களும் எருசலேமில் வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருக்கின்ற எபூசியரை எதிர்த்துப் போரிடுவதற்குச் சென்றனர். எபூசியர்கள் தாவீதிடம், “எங்கள் நகரத்திற்குள் உங்களால் வரமுடியாது. எங்களில் குருடர்களும் முடவர்களுங்கூட உங்களைத் தடுத்து நிறுத்தமுடியும்” என்றனர். (தாவீது, அவர்கள் நகரத்திற்குள் நுழையமாட்டான் என்று அவர்கள் நினைத்ததால் இவ்வாறு கூறினார்கள்.
