Genesis 33:1
யாக்கோபு தன் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்து, இதோ, ஏசாவும் அவனோடேகூட நானூறு மனிதரும் வருகிறதைக் கண்டு, பிள்ளைகளை லேயாளிடத்திலும் ராகேலிடத்திலும் இரண்டு பணிவிடைக்காரிகளிடத்திலும் வெவ்வேறாகப் பிரித்துவைத்து,
Genesis 27:40
உன் பட்டயத்தினாலே நீ பிழைத்து, உன் சகோதரனைச் சேவிப்பாய்; நீ மேற்கொள்ளும் காலம் வரும்போதோ, உன் கழுத்திலிருக்கிற அவனுடைய நுகத்தடியை முறித்துப்போடுவாய் என்றான்.

ஏசா ஒரு பகுதியின்மேல் விழுந்து அதை முறிய அடித்தாலும், மற்றப் பகுதி தப்பித்துக்கொள்ள இடம் உண்டு என்றான்.

என் சகோதரனாகிய ஏசாவின் கைக்கு என்னைத் தப்புவியும், அவன் வந்து என்னையும் பிள்ளைகளையும் தாய்மார்களையும் முறிய அடிப்பான் என்று நான் அவனுக்குப் பயந்திருக்கிறேன்.
