இஸ்ரவேலின் ஜனங்களுக்குப் பலிபீடத்தை எப்படிக் கட்டுவதென்று கர்த்தருடைய தாசனான மோசே கூறியிருந்தான். மோசேயின் சட்ட புத்தகத்தில் விளக்கப்பட்டிருந்தபடி யோசுவா பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டினான். வெட்டப்படாத கற்களால் பலிபீடம் கட்டப்பட்டது. அக்கற்களின் மீது எந்த கருவியும் பட்டிருக்கவில்லை. கர்த்தருக்குத் தகன பலிகளை அப்பலிபீடத்தில் செலுத்தினர். சமாதான பலிகளையும் செலுத்தினர்.
