அப்பொழுது சாராய் ஆபிராமை நோக்கி: எனக்கு நேரிட்ட அநியாயம் உமதுமேல் சுமரும்; என் அடிமைப் பெண்ணை உம்முடைய மடியிலே கொடுத்தேன்; அவள் தான் கர்ப்பவதியானதைக் கண்டு என்னை அற்பமாக எண்ணுகிறாள்; கர்த்தர் எனக்கும் உமக்கும் நடுநின்று நியாயந்தீர்ப்பாராக என்றாள்.

அப்பொழுது சாராய் ஆபிராமை நோக்கி: எனக்கு நேரிட்ட அநியாயம் உம்மேல் சுமரும்; என்னுடைய அடிமைப்பெண்ணை உம்முடைய மடியிலே கொடுத்தேன்; அவள் தான் கர்ப்பவதியானதைக் கண்டு என்னை அற்பமாக நினைக்கிறாள்; கர்த்தர் எனக்கும் உமக்கும் நடுநிலையாக நியாயந்தீர்ப்பாராக என்றாள்.

ஆனால் சாராய் ஆபிராமிடம், “இப்பொழுது என் வேலைக்காரப் பெண் என்னை வெறுக்கிறாள். இதற்காக நான் உம்மையே குற்றம்சாட்டுவேன். நான் அவளை உமக்குக் கொடுத்தேன். அவள் கர்ப்பமுற்றாள். பிறகு என்னைவிடச் சிறந்தவளாகத் தன்னை நினைத்துக்கொள்கிறாள். உமக்கும் எனக்கும் இடையில் கர்த்தரே நியாயந்தீர்க்கட்டும்” என்றாள்.

அப்பொழுது சாராய் ஆபிராமிடம், “எனக்கு இழைக்கப்பட்ட தீங்கு உம்மேல் இருக்கட்டும். நீர் தழுவும்படி நானே கொடுத்த என் பணிப்பெண், அவள் கருவுற்றிருக்கிறாள் என்பதைக் கண்டதிலிருந்து என்னை ஏளனமாக நோக்குகிறாள். ஆண்டவரே எனக்கும் உமக்கும் நீதி வழங்கட்டும்” என்றார்.
