இசக்கார், செபுலோன், பென்யமீன்,

சவுல் வீடுகள்தோறும் நுழைந்து, புருஷரையும் ஸ்திரீகளையும் இழுத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், காவலில் போடுவித்து, சபையைப் பாழாக்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.

மிருகத்தோடே புணருகிறவன் எவனும் கொல்லப்படவேண்டும்.

அப்பொழுது பார்வோன் மோசேயையும் ஆரோனையும் தீவிரமாய் அழைப்பித்து: உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கும் உங்களுக்கும் விரோதமாகப் பாவம் செய்தேன்.

நீ பூமியில் இராமல் நாசமாய்ப் போகும்படி நான் என் கையை நீட்டி, உன்னையும் உன் ஜனங்களையும் கொள்ளை நோயினால் வாதிப்பேன்.

கர்த்தருடைய கரம் வெளியிலிருக்கிற உன் மிருகஜீவன்களாகிய குதிரைகளின்மேலும் கழுதைகளின்மேலும் ஒட்டகங்களின்மேலும் ஆடுமாடுகளின் மேலும் இருக்கும்; மகா கொடிதான கொள்ளைநோய் உண்டாகும்.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர்: எகிப்தில் இருக்கிற என் ஜனத்தின் உபத்திரவத்தை நான் பார்க்கவே பார்த்து, ஆளோட்டிகளினிமித்தம் அவர்கள் இடுகிற கூக்குரலைக் கேட்டேன், அவர்கள் படுகிற வேதனைகளையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்.

மோசே மீதியான் தேசத்து ஆசாரியனாயிருந்த தன் மாமனாகிய எத்திரோவின் ஆடுகளை மேய்த்து வந்தான். அவன் ஆடுகளை வனாந்தரத்தின் பின் புறத்திலே ஓட்டி, தேவபர்வதமாகிய ஓரேப்மட்டும் வந்தான்.

அவர்கள் பெருகாதபடிக்கும், ஒரு யுத்தம் உண்டானால், அவர்களும் நம்முடைய பகைஞரோடே கூடி, நமக்கு விரோதமாக யுத்தம்பண்ணி, தேசத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டுப் போகாதபடிக்கும், நாம் அவர்களைக் குறித்து ஒரு உபாயம் பண்ணவேண்டும் என்றான்.

யோசேப்பும் அவனுடைய சகோதரர் யாவரும், அந்தத் தலைமுறையார் எல்லாரும் மரணமடைந்தார்கள்.
