அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டுப் போகிறதை ஜனங்கள் கண்டார்கள். அவரை அறிந்த அநேகர் சகல பட்டணங்களிலுமிருந்து கால்நடையாய் அவ்விடத்திற்கு ஓடி, அவர்களுக்கு முன்னே அங்கே சேர்ந்து, அவரிடத்தில் கூடிவந்தார்கள்.

அவர் மறுமொழியாக: விசுவாசமில்லாத சந்ததியே, எதுவரைக்கும் நான் உங்களோடு இருப்பேன்? எதுவரைக்கும் உங்களிடம் பொறுமையாக இருப்பேன்? அவனை என்னிடம் கொண்டுவாருங்கள் என்றார்.

அவர் அவர்களிடம், “ஓ! விசுவாசமில்லாத மக்களே! நான் உங்களோடு இன்னும் எவ்வளவு காலம் இருப்பது? உங்களோடு இன்னும் எவ்வளவு காலம் பொறுமையாய் இருப்பது? அந்தப் பையனை என்னிடம் கொண்டு வாருங்கள்!” என்றார்.
