அவர் யோசேப்பின் கூடாரத்தைப் புறக்கணித்தார்; எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்தை அவர் தெரிந்துகொள்ளாமல்,

கர்த்தர் சீயோனைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, அது தமக்கு வாசஸ்தலமாகும்படி விரும்பினார்.

உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய நாமம் விளங்கும்படி, உங்கள் சகல கோத்திரங்களிலும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் ஸ்தானமாகிய அவருடைய வாசஸ்தலத்தையே நாடி, அங்கே போய்,

இப்போதும் இந்த ஜாதியின் ஸ்தானாபதிகளுக்கு என்ன மாறுத்தரவு சொல்லப்படும்? கர்த்தர் சீயோனை அஸ்திபாரப்படுத்தினார்; அவருடைய ஜனத்தில் சிறுமையானவர்கள் அதிலே திடன்கொண்டு தங்குவார்கள் என்பதே.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிறவனெவனோ அவன் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவான்; கர்த்தர் சொன்னபடி, சீயோன் பர்வதத்திலும் எருசலேமிலும் கர்த்தர் வரவழைக்கும் மீதியாயிருப்பவர்களிடத்திலும் இரட்சிப்பு உண்டாயிருக்கும்.

என் நாமம் விளங்கும் ஸ்தானமாக எருசலேமையும், என் ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் அதிபதியாயிருக்கத் தாவீதையும் தெரிந்துகொண்டேன் என்றார்.
