நான் உங்களிடத்தில் அந்நியனும் பரதேசியுமாய் இருக்கிறேன்; என்னிடத்திலிருக்கிற இந்தப் பிரேதம் என் கண்முன் இராதபடிக்கு நான் அதை அடக்கம்பண்ணுவதற்கு, உங்களிடத்தில் எனக்குச் சொந்தமாக ஒரு கல்லறைப் பூமியைத் தரவேண்டும் என்றான்.

அந்த வண்டில் பெத்ஷிமேஸ் ஊரானாகிய யோசுவாவின் வயலில் வந்து, அங்கே நின்றது; அங்கே ஒரு பெரிய கல்லிருந்தது; அப்பொழுது வண்டிலின் மரங்களைப் பிளந்து, பசுக்களைக் கர்த்தருக்குச் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியாகச் செலுத்தினார்கள்.
