மோசே யோசுவாவுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டிருந்த எல்லாவற்றின்படியும் ஜனங்களுக்குச் சொல்லும்படி, கர்த்தர் யோசுவாவுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டவையெல்லாம் செய்து முடியுமட்டும், பெட்டியைச்சுமக்கிற ஆசாரியர் யோர்தானின் நடுவே நின்றார்கள்; ஜனங்கள் தீவிரித்துக் கடந்துபோனார்கள்.

ஜனங்கள் செய்ய வேண்டியவற்றை அவர்களுக்குக் கூறும்படி கர்த்தர் யோசுவாவுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார். யோசுவா செய்ய வேண்டியவையாக மோசே யோசுவாவுக்குக் கூறிய காரியங்களே அவையாகும். பரிசுத்தப் பெட்டியைச் சுமந்து வந்த ஆசாரியர்கள் இக்காரியங்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் செய்து முடிக்கும்வரைக்கும் நதியின் மத்தியிலேயே நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தனர். ஜனங்கள் நதியை வேகமாகத் தாண்டினார்கள்.

இவ்வாறு, மக்களுக்குக் கூறும்படி ஆண்டவர் யோசுவாவுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார். இவை அனைத்தும் முடியும் வரை பேழையைத் தூக்கிச் சென்ற குருக்கள் யோர்தான் நடுவிலேயே நின்று கொண்டிருந்தனர். மக்களும் விரைவாகக் கடந்தனர். இதுவே மோசே யோசுவாவுக்கு அளித்திருந்த கட்டளை.
