இதுவுமல்லாமல் அறுப்புக்காலம் வர இன்னும் மூன்றுமாதம் இருக்கும்போதே மழையை நான் தடுத்தேன், ஒரு பட்டணத்தின்மேல் மழைபெய்யவும் ஒரு பட்டணத்தின்மேல் மழை பெய்யாமலிருக்கவும் பண்ணினேன்; ஒரு வயலின்மேல் மழைபெய்தது, மழைபெய்யாத மற்ற வயல் காய்ந்து போயிற்று.

இதுவும் இல்லாமல், அறுப்புக்காலம் வருவதற்கு இன்னும் மூன்றுமாதங்கள் இருக்கும்போதே மழையை நான் தடுத்தேன், ஒரு பட்டணத்தின்மேல் மழைபெய்யவும் ஒரு பட்டணத்தின்மேல் மழைபெய்யாமல் இருக்கவும் செய்தேன்; ஒரு வயலின்மேல் மழைபெய்தது, மழைபெய்யாத மற்ற வயல் காய்ந்துபோனது.

“நான் அறுவடைக்கு மூன்று மாதத்திற்கு முன்பு மழையையும் நிறுத்தினேன். எனவே விளைச்சல் விளையவில்லை. பிறகு நான் ஒரு நகரத்தில் மழை பெய்யும்படிச் செய்தேன். ஆனால் அடுத்த நகரில் மழை பெய்யவில்லை. நாட்டின் ஒரு பகுதியில் மழை பெய்தது. ஆனால் நாட்டின் அடுத்தப் பகுதியில் வறட்சி ஏற்பட்டது.
