அவர்களை நோக்கி: திரும்பச் செப்பனிடப்படக் கூடாத குயவனுடைய மண்பாண்டத்தை உடைத்துப்போட்டவண்ணமாக நான் இந்த ஜனத்தையும் இந்த நகரத்தையும் உடைத்துப்போடுவேன்; புதைக்கிறதற்கு இடமில்லாததினால் தோப்பேத்திலே சவங்களைப் புதைப்பார்களென்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

அவர்களை நோக்கி: திரும்பச் சரிசெய்யமுடியாத குயவனுடைய மண்பாத்திரத்தை உடைத்துப்போட்டவிதமாக, நான் இந்த மக்களையும் இந்த நகரத்தையும் உடைத்துப்போடுவேன்; புதைக்கிறதற்கு இடமில்லாததினால் தோப்பேத்தில் சவங்களைப் புதைப்பார்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

அப்போது இவற்றைச் சொல்: ‘சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் கூறுகிறார், நான் யூதா நாட்டையும் எருசலேமையும், ஒருவன் மண்ஜாடியை உடைப்பதுப்போன்று உடைப்பேன். இந்த ஜாடியை மீண்டும் பழையபடி ஆக்கமுடியாது. யூதா நாட்டுக்கும் இதுபோல் ஆகும். வேறு இடமில்லை என்று சொல்லுகிற வரையில் தோப்பேத்தில் மரித்த ஜனங்கள் புதைக்கப்படுவார்கள் இந்த வார்த்தை கர்த்தரிடம் உள்ளது.
