அந்தப்படி மனைவிகளே, உங்கள்சொந்தப் புருஷர்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருங்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவர்களில் யாராவது திருவசனத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்களாயிருந்தால், பயபக்தியோடுகூடிய உங்கள் கற்புள்ள நடக்கையை அவர்கள் பார்த்து,

பிரியமானவனே, நீ தீமையானதைப் பின்பற்றாமல், நன்மையானதைப் பின்பற்று, நன்மைசெய்கிறவன் தேவனால் உண்டாயிருக்கிறான்; தீமைசெய்கிறவன் தேவனைப் பார்த்தது இல்லை.

எனது அன்பான நண்பனே, தீயவற்றைப் பின்பற்றாதே. நல்லவற்றைப் பின்பற்று. நல்லவற்றைச் செய்கிற மனிதன் தேவனிடமிருந்து வந்தவன். தீயவை செய்யும் மனிதனோ, தேவனை அறியாதவன்.
