பாலுண்கிறவன் குழந்தையாயிருக்கிறபடியினாலே நீதியின் வசனத்தில் பழக்கமில்லாதவனாயிருக்கிறான்.

உன் சகோதரன் அந்நியர்கள்வசமான அவனுடைய நாளை நீ பிரியத்தோடே பார்க்காமலும், யூதா மக்களுடைய அழிவின் நாளிலே அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் சந்தோஷப்படாமலும், அவர்கள் நெருக்கப்படுகிற நாளிலே நீ பெருமையாகப் பேசாமலும் இருக்கவேண்டியதாயிருந்தது.

சகல துர்க்குணத்தையும், சகலவித கபடத்தையும், வஞ்சகங்களையும், பொறாமைகளையும், சகலவித புறங்கூறுதலையும் ஒழித்துவிட்டு,

சகோதரரே, நீங்கள் புத்தியிலே குழந்தைகளாயிராதேயுங்கள்; துர்க்குணத்திலே குழந்தைகளாயும், புத்தியிலோ தேறினவர்களாயுமிருங்கள்.

அவர் யாருக்கு அறிவைப் போதிப்பார்? யாருக்கு உபதேசத்தை உணர்த்துவார்? பால்மறந்தவர்களுக்கும், முலை மறக்கப்பண்ணப்பட்டவர்களுக்குமே.

நாம் இனிக் குழந்தைகளாயிராமல், மனுஷருடைய சூதும் வஞ்சிக்கிறதற்கேதுவான தந்திரமுமுள்ள போதகமாய் பலவித காற்றினாலே அலைகளைப்போல அடிபட்டு அலைகிறவர்களாயிராமல்,

அவைகள் உபதேசத்துக்கும், கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலுக்கும் சீர்திருத்தலுக்கும், நீதியைப் படிப்பிக்குதலுக்கும் பிரயோஜனமுள்ளவைகளாயிருக்கிறது.

உமது இரட்சிப்புக்கும் உமது நீதியின் வார்த்தைக்கும் காத்திருக்கிறதினால் என் கண்கள் பூத்துப்போகிறது.

அந்தச் சமயத்தில் இயேசு சொன்னது: பிதாவே! வானத்துக்கும் பூமிக்கும் ஆண்டவரே! இவைகளை ஞானிகளுக்கும் கல்விமான்களுக்கும் மறைத்து, பாலகருக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினபடியால் உம்மை ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கிறேன்.

எவனாகிலும் சிறு பிள்ளையைப்போல் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாவிட்டால், அவன் அதில் பிரவேசிப்பதில்லையென்று, மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்று சொல்லி,

விசுவாசத்தினாலே நீதிமான் பிழைப்பான் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி விசுவாசத்தினால் உண்டாகும் தேவநீதி விசுவாசத்திற்கென்று அந்தச் சுவிசேஷத்தினால் வெளிப்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.

மோசே நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினாலாகும் நீதியைக்குறித்து: இவைகளைச் செய்கிற மனுஷன் இவைகளால் பிழைப்பான் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறான்.

மேலும், சகோதரரே, நான் உங்களை ஆவிக்குரியவர்களென்று எண்ணி உங்களுடனே பேசக்கூடாமல், மாம்சத்துக்குரியவர்களென்றும், கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் குழந்தைகளென்றும் எண்ணிப் பேசவேண்டியதாயிற்று.

நான் குழந்தையாயிருந்தபோது குழந்தையைப்போலப் பேசினேன், குழந்தையைப்போலச் சிந்தித்தேன், குழந்தையைப்போல யோசித்தேன்; நான் புருஷனானபோதோ குழந்தைக்கேற்றவைகளை ஒழித்துவிட்டேன்.

ஆக்கினைத்தீர்ப்புக் கொடுக்கும் ஊழியம் மகிமையுள்ளதாயிருந்தால், நீதியைக் கொடுக்கும் ஊழியம் அதிக மகிமையுள்ளதாயிருக்குமே.

பேதைகளுக்குப் போதகனாகவும், குழந்தைகளுக்கு உபாத்தியாயனாகவும், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் அறிவையும் சத்தியத்தையும் காட்டிய சட்டமுடையவனாகவும் எண்ணுகிறாயே.
