தங்கள் சகோதரரைக் கூடிவரச்செய்து, பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டு கர்த்தருடைய வசனங்களுக்கொத்த ராஜாவினுடைய கற்பனையின்படியே கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தைச் சுத்திகரிக்க வந்தார்கள்.

பிறகு இந்த லேவியர்கள் தம் சகோதரர்களையும் சேர்த்துக் கொண்டு தங்களைக் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் பரிசுத்த சேவைசெய்யத் தயார் செய்துக்கொண்டார்கள். கர்த்தரிடமிருந்து வந்த அரசனின் கட்டளைக்கு அவர்கள் பணிந்தனர். சுத்தம் செய்து பரிசுத்தப்படுத்துவதற்காக அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்குள் சென்றார்கள்.
