ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் தேவனுடைய ஸ்தானாபதிகளைப் பரியாசம்பண்ணி, அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளை அசட்டைசெய்து, அவருடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளை நிந்தித்தபடியால், கர்த்தருடைய உக்கிரம் அவருடைய ஜனத்தின்மேல் மூண்டது; சகாயமில்லாமல் போயிற்று.

ஆசாரியர்களில் முக்கியமான அனைவரும் மற்றும் மக்களும் கூடி புறவகைகளுடைய சகல அருவருப்புகளின்படியும் மிகவும் துரோகம்செய்து, கர்த்தர் எருசலேமிலே பரிசுத்தம்செய்த அவருடைய ஆலயத்தைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

ஆசாரியர்களின் தலைவர்களும், யூதா ஜனங்களின் தலைவர்களும் கொடிய பாவங்களைச் செய்து கர்த்தருக்கு எதிராகிப்போனார்கள். அவர்கள் பிற நாடுகளின் தீயச்செயல்களைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள். அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தை அழித்தார்கள். கர்த்தர் எருசலேமில் தன் ஆலயத்தைப் பரிசுத்தமாக வைத்திருந்தார்.

ஆசாரியரில் பிரதானமானவர்கள் யாவரும் ஜனங்களும் கூடிப் புறஜாதிகளுடைய சகல அருவருப்புகளின்படியும் மிகவும் துரோகம்பண்ணி, கர்த்தர் எருசலேமிலே பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணின அவருடைய ஆலயத்தை தீட்டுப்படுத்தினார்கள்.
