ஓசெயா எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய சோ என்பவனிடத்துக்கு ஸ்தானாபதிகளை அனுப்பினதும், தனக்கு வருஷந்தோறும் செய்ததுபோல், பகுதி அனுப்பாதே போனதுமான கலக யோசனையை அசீரியாவின் ராஜா ஓசெயாவினிடத்திலே கண்டு, அவனைப் பிடித்துக் கட்டிச் சிறைச்சாலையிலே வைத்தான்.

அவனுடைய வேலைக்காரர்கள் அவனை இரதத்தில் ஏற்றி எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அவனைத் தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் அவனுடைய முன்னோர்களோடு அவனுடைய கல்லறையிலே அடக்கம்செய்தார்கள்.
