எலிசா இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து: எனக்கும் உமக்கும் என்ன? நீர் உம்முடைய தகப்பனின் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளிடத்திலும், உம்முடைய தாயாரின் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளிடத்திலும் போம் என்றான். அதற்கு இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா: அப்படியல்ல, கர்த்தர் இந்த மூன்று ராஜாக்களையும் மோவாபியரின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கிறதற்கு வரவழைத்தார் என்றான்.

எலிசா இஸ்ரவேல் அரசனான யோராமிடம், “நான் உங்களுக்கு செய்வதற்கு எதுவுமில்லை. உங்கள் தந்தை மற்றும் தாயின் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளிடம் செல்லுங்கள்!” என்றான். அதற்கு இஸ்ரவேலின் அரசன், “இல்லை, நாங்கள் உங்களைப் பார்க்கவே வந்துள்ளோம். ஏனென்றால் கர்த்தர் மோவாப் மூலம் எங்களைத் தோற்கடிக்க எங்கள் மூவரையும் ஒன்றாகக் கூட்டியுள்ளார். எங்களுக்கு நீங்கள் உதவவேண்டும்” என்றான்.
