அப்பொழுது அவர்: உன் புத்திரனும் உன் ஏகசுதனும் உன் நேசகுமாரனுமாகிய ஈசாக்கை நீ இப்பொழுது அழைத்துக் கொண்டு, மோரியா தேசத்துக்குப் போய், அங்கே நான் உனக்குக் குறிக்கும் மலைகள் ஒன்றின்மேல் அவனைத் தகனபலியாகப் பலியிடு என்றார்.

அதற்கு அவர்கள்: இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை நீங்கள் அனுப்பினால், அதை வெறுமையாக அனுப்பாமல், குற்றநிவாரணக் காணிக்கையை எப்படியாவது அவருக்குச் செலுத்தவேண்டும்; அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் சுகமடைவதும் மட்டுமில்லாமல், அவருடைய கை உங்களை விடாதிருந்த காரணம் என்ன என்றும் உங்களுக்குத் தெரியவரும் என்றார்கள்.

அதற்கு அவர்கள், “நீங்கள் இஸ்ரவேலரின் தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தப் பெட்டியைத் திருப்பி அனுப்புவதானால் வெறுமையாக அனுப்பவேண்டாம். அன்பளிப்போடு அனுப்புங்கள். அப்போது உங்கள் பாவங்களையும் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவன் எடுத்துப் போடுவார். பின் நீங்களும் குணம் பெறுவீர்கள். நீங்களும் பரிசுத்தம் அடைவீர்கள். இதனைச் செய்தால் தேவன் உங்களைத் தண்டிப்பதையும் நிறுத்துவார்” என்றனர்.
