எகிப்தியர் சகாயம்பண்ணுவது வியர்த்தமும் வீணுமாம்; ஆகையால், சும்மாயிருப்பதே அவர்களுக்குப் பெலன் என்று அதற்காகக் கூறுகிறேன்.

அப்பொழுது மோசே ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: பயப்படாதிருங்கள்; நீங்கள் நின்றுகொண்டு இன்றைக்குக் கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குச் செய்யும் இரட்சிப்பைப் பாருங்கள்; இன்றைக்கு நீங்கள் காண்கிற எகிப்தியரை இனி என்றைக்கும் காணமாட்டீர்கள்.

நியாயம் விசாரிக்கவும் பூமியில் சிறுமைப்பட்டவர்கள் யாவரையும் இரட்சிக்கவும் தேவரீர் எழுந்தருளினபோது,

மனுஷனை நம்புவதைப் பார்க்கிலும், கர்த்தர் பேரில் பற்றுதலாயிருப்பதே நலம்.

நாசியிலே சுவாசமுள்ள மனுஷனை நம்புவதைவிட்டுவிடுங்கள்; எண்ணப்படுவதற்கு அவன் எம்மாத்திரம்.

நீ அவனை நோக்கி: சீரியர் எப்பிராயீமோடும், ரெமலியாவின் மகனோடும் உனக்கு விரோதமாகத் துராலோசனை பண்ணி,

இதுவே நீங்கள் இளைத்தவனை இளைப்பாறப்பண்ணத்தக்க இளைப்பாறுதல்; இதுவே ஆறுதல் என்று அவர்களோடே அவர் சொன்னாலும் கேட்கமாட்டோம் என்கிறார்கள்.

நீங்கள் மனந்திரும்பி அமர்ந்திருந்தால் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவீர்கள்; அமரிக்கையும் நம்பிக்கையுமே உங்கள் பெலனாயிருக்கும் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தராயிருக்கிற கர்த்தராகிய தேவன் சொல்லுகிறார்; நீங்களோ அப்படிச் செய்ய மனதாயிராமல்;

சகாயமடையும்படி இஸ்ரவேலுடைய பரிசுத்தரை நோக்காமலும், கர்த்தரைத் தேடாமலும், எகிப்துக்குப்போய், குதிரைகள்மேல் நம்பிக்கைவைத்து, இரதங்கள் அநேமாயிருப்பதினால் அவைகளை நாடி, குதிரைவீரர் மகா பெலசாலிகளாயிருப்பதினால் அவர்களை நம்பிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறவர்களுக்கு ஐயோ!

எழும்பு, எழும்பு, பெலன்கொள்; கர்த்தரின் புயமே முந்தின நாட்களிலும் பூர்வ தலைமுறைகளிலும் எழும்பினபடி எழும்பு; இராகாபைத் துண்டித்ததும் வலுசர்ப்பத்தை வதைத்ததும் நீதானல்லவோ?

இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், என்னிடத்தில் விசாரிக்கும்படி உங்களை என்னிடத்திற்கு அனுப்பின யூதாவின் ராஜாவை நீங்கள் நோக்கி: இதோ, உங்களுக்கு ஒத்தாசையாகப் புறப்பட்ட பார்வோனின் சேனை தன் தேசமாகிய எகிப்துக்குத் திரும்பிப்போகும்.

கர்த்தருடைய இரட்சிப்புக்கு நம்பிக்கையோடு காத்திருக்கிறது நல்லது.

எப்பிராயீம் தன் வியாதியையும், யூதா தன் காயத்தையும் கண்டபோது, எப்பிராயீம் அசீரியனண்டைக்குப்போய் யாரேப் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் ஆளனுப்பினான்; ஆனாலும் உங்களைக் குணமாக்கவும் உங்களில் இருக்கிற காயத்தை ஆற்றவும் அவனால் கூடாமற்போயிற்று.
