அப்போஸ்தலர் 27
39 பொழுது விடிந்தபின்பு, இன்னபூமியென்று அறியாதிருந்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது சமமான கரையுள்ள ஒரு துறைமுகம் அவர்களுக்குத் தென்பட்டது; கூடுமானால் அதற்குள் கப்பலையோட்ட யோசனையாயிருந்து,
40 நங்கூரங்களை அறுத்துக் கடலிலே விட்டுவிட்டு, சுக்கான்களுடைய கட்டுகளைத் தளரவிட்டு, பெரும்பாயைக் காற்றுமுகமாய் விரித்து, கரைக்கு நேராய் ஓடி,
41 இருபுறமும் கடல் மோதிய ஒருஇடத்திலே கப்பலைத் தட்டவைத்தார்கள்; முன்னணியம் ஊன்றி அசையாமலிருந்தது, பின்னணியம் அலைகளுடைய பலத்தினால் உடைந்துபோயிற்று.
42 அப்பொழுது காவல்பண்ணப்பட்டவர்களில் ஒருவனும் நீந்தி ஓடிப்போகாதபடிக்கு அவர்களைக் கொன்றுபோடவேண்டுமென்று போர்ச்சேவகர் யோசனையாயிருந்தார்கள்.
43 நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதி பவுலைக் காப்பாற்ற மனதாயிருந்து, அவர்களுடைய யோசனையைத் தடுத்து, நீந்தத்தக்கவர்கள் முந்திக் கடலில் விழுந்து கரையேறவும்,
39 And when it was day, they knew not the land: but they discovered a certain creek with a shore, into the which they were minded, if it were possible, to thrust in the ship.
40 And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoised up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore.
41 And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.
42 And the soldiers’ counsel was to kill the prisoners, lest any of them should swim out, and escape.
43 But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land:

10 உடனே சகோதரர் இராத்திரிகாலத்திலே பவுலையும் சீலாவையும் பெரோயா பட்டணத்துக்கு அனுப்பிவிட்டார்கள்; அவர்கள் அங்கே சேர்ந்து, யூதருடைய ஜெபஆலயத்திற்குப் போனார்கள்.
And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 அந்தப் பட்டணத்தார் மனோவாஞ்சையாய் வசனத்தை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, காரியங்கள் இப்படியிருக்கிறதா என்று தினந்தோறும் வேதவாக்கியங்களை ஆராய்ந்துபார்த்ததினால், தெசலோனிக்கேயில் உள்ளவர்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் நற்குணசாலிகளாயிருந்தார்கள்.
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
12 அதனால் அவர்களில் அநேகம்பேரும் கனம்பொருந்திய கிரேக்கரில் அநேக ஸ்திரீகளும் புருஷர்களும் விசுவாசித்தார்கள்.
Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
13 பெரோயாவிலும் தேவவசனம் பவுலினால் அறிவிக்கப்படுகிறதென்று தெசலோனிக்கேயரான யூதர்கள் அறிந்தபோது அங்கேயும் வந்து, ஜனங்களைக் கிளப்பிவிட்டார்கள்.
But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.
14 உடனே சகோதரர் பவுலைச் சமுத்திரவழியாய்ப் போக அனுப்பிவிட்டார்கள். சீலாவும் தீமோத்தேயும் அங்கே தங்கியிருந்தார்கள்.
And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.
15 பவுலை வழிநடத்தினவர்கள் அவனை அத்தேனே பட்டணம்வரைக்கும் அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய்; அங்கே சீலாவும் தீமோத்தேயும் அதிசீக்கிரமாகத் தன்னிடத்திற்கு வரும்படி அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லக் கட்டளை பெற்றுக்கொண்டு புறப்பட்டுப்போனார்கள்.
And they that conducted Paul brought him unto Athens: and receiving a commandment unto Silas and Timotheus for to come to him with all speed, they departed.
