14 காதியின் குமாரனாகிய மெனாகேம் திர்சாவிலிருந்து சமாரியாவுக்கு வந்து, யாபேசின் குமாரனாகிய சல்லுூமைச் சமாரியாவிலே வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.
15 சல்லுூமின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்த கட்டுப்பாடும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

14 For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
15 And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
