21 ஆமோன் ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபத்திரண்டு வயதாயிருந்து, இரண்டு வருஷம் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டான்.
22 அவன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய மனாசே செய்ததுபோல கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான் தன் தகப்பனாகிய மனாசே பண்ணுவித்திருந்த விக்கிரகங்களுக்கெல்லாம் ஆமோன் பலியிட்டு, அவைகளைச் சேவித்தான்.
23 தன் தகப்பனாகிய மனாசே தன்னைத் தாழ்த்திக்கொண்டதுபோல, இந்த ஆமோன் என்பவன் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகத் தன்னைத் தாழ்த்தாமல் மேன்மேலும் அக்கிரமம் செய்துவந்தான்.
24 அவன் ஊழியக்காரர் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணி, அவன் அரமனையிலே அவனைக் கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள்.
21 Amon was two and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned two years in Jerusalem.
22 But he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as did Manasseh his father: for Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them;
23 And humbled not himself before the Lord, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but Amon trespassed more and more.
24 And his servants conspired against him, and slew him in his own house.
