அவனைக் கானான் தேசத்துக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், ஆபிரகாம் மம்ரேக்கு எதிரே இருக்கிற மக்பேலா என்னும் நிலத்திலே தனக்குச் சொந்தக் கல்லறை பூமியாக ஏத்தியனாகிய எப்பெரோனிடத்தில் வாங்கின நிலத்திலுள்ள குகையிலே அவனை அடக்கம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

அவர்கள் அவனது உடலை கானானுக்குள் எடுத்துச் சென்று மக்பேலாவில் அடக்கம் செய்தனர். இந்தக் குகை ஆபிரகாம் ஏத்தின் ஜனங்களிடமிருந்து வாங்கிய நிலத்தில் மம்ரேக்கு அருகில் இருந்தது. ஆபிரகாம் இதனைக் கல்லறைக்காகவே வாங்கியிருந்தான்.

அவருடைய புதல்வர் அவரைக் கானான் நாட்டிற்கு எடுத்துச் சென்று மம்ரேக்கு எதிரில் மக்பேலா என்ற நிலத்தில் இருந்த குகையில் அடக்கம் செய்தனர். இந்த இடத்தை ஆபிரகாம் தமக்கென்று கல்லறை நிலம் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக எப்ரோன் என்ற இத்தியனிடமிருந்து விலைக்கு வாங்கியிருந்தார்.
